Many of us in Chicago area are so looking forward to attend a special program, "The Sound of Your Voice" by Kitty Kurth and Kevin Lampe of KurthLampe.com on Thursday, Dec 9, from 6 to 9 pm at the IIT Rice Campus in Wheaton.
However, a few undecided had raised a great question, WIFM?As the co-chair of the program, I take full responsibility for not listing the typical benefits of what you will get by attending this session in the previous blog. With 36-hours count down, I will explain the buzzzzz. This wife-and-husband-team coach on pronunciation, intonation and the use of voice in a speech.They will speak about the delivery of a speech follow by interactive exercises.Kitty and Kevin are renown voice coaches working with International political, business and Hollywood figures. We feel that there are something that everyone could learn from them. Everyone who are communicators and wish to be better communicators.Political opinions aside, no one could denial the power of the 2004 DNC speech that President Obama delivered. As Kevin Lampe, the speech coach who worked with Senator Obama then, said in an interview, he walked in as a senator pre-speech and walked out as a president to-be post speech. It had been a big challenge to track them down and agreed to present. They adjusted their trip to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Brussels and London, in order to honor the commitment to present at our program. As I am up loading this blog, they are flying over the Atlantic ocean, on their way back to Chicago. Hope you all could join us, listen and learn about our own voices.
