Again, from Missy Carvin, CEF's America's Giving Challenge Initiative Captain. She writes well so I am just quoting her so that you can get the spirit of CEF.
Long time CEF member, Jon Pearson had said, "To give when times are good is an act of generosity. To give when times are lean is an act of courage." How true. How deep.
This is one COURAGEOUS group! Thanks to YOUR efforts, we have:
* Raised over $4,000 for CEF;
* Launched a cause community to spread the word about why creative thinking is so important;
* And gotten over a dozen new friends who gave because of their relationship and friendship with supporters of the cause.
You know the drill. If we can really get people out today to donate, and have the highest number of donations in a day, we win an extra $1,500. HOWEVER, there is a slight change to the overall prize structure.
Overall, we are at 94 out of more than 7,500 causes entered in America's Giving Challenge.
The organization with the most donations overall wins $50,000
The TWO organizations in second place receive $25,000
And the next TEN runners-up get $10,000 each!
I really think that we could make a big push between now and Friday and win $10,000. To be one of those ten runners-up we need about 800-900 donations overall. This email reaches around 800 people, some of whom have given already (and some of those have given multiple times). Even if you are not in the position to give right now, please pass this message along to friends and associates. An extra $10,000 for CEF is within our reach if we pull together.
Thank you for all you've done so far!

What a burst of Creative Energy! CEF Round 2
We could use a few more 10. Your 10 with make a difference. Here is the report from Missy Carvin, CEF's America's Giving Challenge Initiative Captain.
"At the close of our second 24-hour sprint to winning an extra $1,000 for CEF, we are doing so well. We are currently in 10th place for the day! Even better, we've raised almost $4,000 and are ranked 124th overall - simply outstanding!"
There are so much to tell about this seasoned organization. The video for the YouthWise™ program in South Africa tell you the story.

We've got momentum! CEF Round 1
Below is the text from Missy Carvin, CEF's America's giving Challenge Initiative Captain. Amazing. If you are reading this, please click and give up 10. Well, it will be a high 10.
"We ended our first 24 hours in the American Giving Challenge in 19th place out of over seven thousand causes!
Thanks to the efforts of our growing list of supporters, we've raised over $3,000 in 24 hours! But we're not done yet. The American Giving Challenge is ongoing until November 7th. We are trying to win an extra $1,500 by having the largest number of contributions (not the highest dollar amount) in a 24-hour period.
Your mission today - give again! A little bit goes a loooooooong way. Your other mission - tell your friends! Get your co-workers donating. Imagine the impact we could make if every person touched by CEF asked even 3 more people to make a donation. How many thousands of kids could we train through the YouthWise™ program? How many scholarships to CPSI? How many groundbreaking programs and initiatives could we get off the ground?
Like you, I hate asking for money. (Ironic, isn't it?) So here's a little text to cut and paste into an email or Facebook message to get you started:
No one likes to ask their friends for money, so the fact that I am sending this message means that this is a cause near and dear to my heart. I need your help in supporting the Creative Education Foundation. As little as ten dollars from you can help us win $1,000 or more. (I will gladly return the favor for you should you have a fund drive in the near future.)
America's Giving Challenge has created a competition, which we've just entered. We are hoping to win the daily challenge between now and Monday (any of the three days) and need about 400 contributions in one day to win.
The Link is http://www.causes.com/donations/select_donation_method?cause_id=385957 or, you can go to Causes.com and search on Creative Education Foundation to find us.
I would be most grateful for your support. Thanks for the consideration."
