We've got momentum! CEF Round 1

Below is the text from Missy Carvin, CEF's America's giving Challenge Initiative Captain. Amazing. If you are reading this, please click and give up 10. Well, it will be a high 10.

"We ended our first 24 hours in the American Giving Challenge in 19th place out of over seven thousand causes!

Thanks to the efforts of our growing list of supporters, we've raised over $3,000 in 24 hours! But we're not done yet. The American Giving Challenge is ongoing until November 7th. We are trying to win an extra $1,500 by having the largest number of contributions (not the highest dollar amount) in a 24-hour period.

Your mission today - give again! A little bit goes a loooooooong way. Your other mission - tell your friends! Get your co-workers donating. Imagine the impact we could make if every person touched by CEF asked even 3 more people to make a donation. How many thousands of kids could we train through the YouthWise™ program? How many scholarships to CPSI? How many groundbreaking programs and initiatives could we get off the ground?

Like you, I hate asking for money. (Ironic, isn't it?) So here's a little text to cut and paste into an email or Facebook message to get you started:

No one likes to ask their friends for money, so the fact that I am sending this message means that this is a cause near and dear to my heart. I need your help in supporting the Creative Education Foundation. As little as ten dollars from you can help us win $1,000 or more. (I will gladly return the favor for you should you have a fund drive in the near future.)

America's Giving Challenge has created a competition, which we've just entered. We are hoping to win the daily challenge between now and Monday (any of the three days) and need about 400 contributions in one day to win.

The Link is http://www.causes.com/donations/select_donation_method?cause_id=385957 or, you can go to Causes.com and search on Creative Education Foundation to find us.

I would be most grateful for your support. Thanks for the consideration."
